Iterative System™ is a visual corpus developed through an ongoing process of continuous evolution. Comprising several Ensembles of images, each produced according to a shared protocol, every work within these Ensembles exists both independently and in relation to its counterparts.
Initiated by Yul Tomatala, this process constitutes an attempt to inventory, archive, and protect—in an overtly methodical manner—fragments of memory, whether lived or imagined, solitary or shared, yet no less real. What is at stake here is not the telling of singular stories, but the formation of collective narratives, weaving together the remnants of nearly inconceivable tales, interlaced myths, and shared representations that only time will allow us to fully absorb.
